Get Connected

Get Connected is a mentoring scheme offering support from a volunteer mentor or peer mentor. The aim of the project is to increase the confidence, independence and wellbeing of people.

Get Connected is open to clients who are supported by Bristol Mental Health partners and clients who have been discharged from, and are no longer being supported by, Bristol Mental Health services.

Clients will receive one to one support from a volunteer for up to twelve sessions and take part in activities which they feel will enhance their recovery, focusing on confidence building and making links in the community. Get Connected is part of Bristol Mental Health.

We have been receiving some amazing responses from people who have been supported by Get Connected

“I was absolutely satisfied, I do feel I achieved my goal, I managed to start volunteering at Windmill Hill City Farm. My mentor was such a great guy, friendly and lovely, he met me at the farm before and after my first session volunteering, I couldn’t have asked for more.”

“My mentor was pleasant; he asked nice questions, I felt relaxed around him. I didn’t feel like I shouldn’t be here, he’s a good worker, the service I had was more than good”
