Looking for support?

If you need mental health support, you will need a referral from the NHS or local authority to access our services. Each service has a different referral process and details can be found on webpage for that service. We work closely with local councils to give support but we do not provide emergency housing support directly.

If you are currently receiving support from a Bristol Mental Health service or are a carer, you can enrol on one of our free wellbeing courses without a referral. You can find out more on our Wellbeing Colleges page.

Our services can be found in BristolNorth SomersetSouth Gloucestershire, Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire.

If you are in crisis and need immediate support

Please dial 111 or call the Samaritans on 116 123 for free.  Some may find writing an email could be a calm and safe way to work through what's on your mind. Especially if it feels too upsetting to talk about on the phone.  You can email the Samaritans at jo@samaritans.org.  Samaritans volunteers answer each email that comes through.

If you feel that you are at risk from abuse we can help.

Mental health service commissioners

If you commission mental health services for the NHS or a local authority and are interested in finding out more about what we do please email reception@second-step.co.uk

Do get in touch
