MINT Teams: community based mental health hubs
The MINTs (Mental health and wellbeing Integrated Network Teams) in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire are pioneering mental health hubs bringing together diverse expertise from NHS, local authority and voluntary sector organisations to provide joined-up mental health support within communities.
There are six MINT Hubs across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). They make it easier to access the right help at the right time, bringing support closer to where you live.
MINT can help you identify your needs, strengths and goals, and connect you with the clinical, social and wellbeing support that best meets your needs. The service is available to people aged 18 and over who are registered with a GP practice in Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire.
MINT also provides transition support for young people who move from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) into adult services.
You can access MINT through a referral from your GP or by contacting your local MINT Hub.
Changes to MINT hubs
From 5th October 2026, AWP's Primary Care Liaison Service (PCLS) and Triage services will close. Their staff and functions will transfer into BNSSG's six place-based Mental health and wellbeing Integrated Network Team (MINT) Hubs.
MINT Hubs will become the single point of access for adults and older adults with mental health needs across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG).
MINT Hubs bring together staff from the NHS, voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, and local authorities to provide more joined-up support.
The six MINT Hubs are:
- Weston, Worle and Villages
- Woodspring
- South Gloucestershire
- North and West Bristol
- Inner City and East Bristol
- South Bristol
