New help to get back to work

Our successful Peer Employability Programme is opening its doors once more to people who are keen to get back to work.

The programme, which has supported more than 50 people with mental health problems back into employment, has been extended until March 2021, and is now taking new referrals.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, all sessions are delivered virtually. We begin by offering four 30 minute sessions to assess people’s needs, identify skills and attributes, build confidence and develop a personal development plan.  These are then followed by seven hour-long sessions focusing on the skills needed to enter the workplace.

The programme is funded by the Rank Foundation and the Nisbit Trust. For more information, or to request a referral form, please contact pep@second-step.co.uk or talk to our Peer Support Officer, Kate Thomas on 07855 013872
