Meet the team
A warm welcome from our team who make our workshops, courses and Wellbeing Cafes happen.
College Tutors
Del (Delyth)
Wellbeing College Tutor
Del enjoys the opportunities her role provides to connect with the Bristol community. She loves to be outside, but on a rainy day she’ll be just as happy at home with a good book or attempting some yoga in a very leisurely manner.
Jaz (Jasmine)
Wellbeing College Tutor
Jaz is a former Recovery Coach within Second Step. She is most happy around people. In her spare time, she does yoga, cold swimming, walking or is found curled up studying yoga therapy.
Loo (Lucy)
Wellbeing College Tutor
Loo was previously a Mental Health Recovery Worker at Second Step. She is likely to be found exploring in her campervan, chilling with goats or knitting with a cuppa!
Nina
Senior Wellbeing College Tutor
Nina has worked at Second Step for 11 years setting up projects and supporting peer staff, and joining the Wellbeing College at its inception in 2014. Nina loves to travel, meet new people and experience different cultures. You’ll usually find her sitting in a coffee shop or walking with friends.
Sharon
Wellbeing College Tutor
Sharon previously worked for Second Step as a Peer Support Worker. When not working, Sharon loves to spend her time outdoors, particularly growing fruit and veg in her garden. Sharon also loves walking, photography and yoga.
Tom
Wellbeing College Tutor
With a background in teaching and wellbeing coaching, Tom spends a lot of time in the great outdoors, catching a tiny proportion of the waves he tries to surf and sleeping in lay-bys in his van. He loves it…he thinks!
Coordination Team
Aoife
Coordinator and Social Media Lead
Usually sending out emails or creating posters to go up on our Facebook group. Aoife finds she can’t do anything without listening to music and has to have it on 24/7!
Ben
Partnership and IT Lead
Ben provides technical support for College learners and also manages our Wellbeing Café, that runs every Tuesday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm. An avid fan of music, Ben enjoys playing various musical instruments in his spare time.
Matt
Quality and Review Officer
Matt's role within the College is varied, involving tech, admin and analysis, although engaging with learners remains the most valuable part of his job and he enjoys making Welcome Calls to new learners. Matt is usually the first to get the coffee going and offer the chance to pop outside for a stroll and a chat.
Team Manager
Sally
Bristol Wellbeing College Manager
Sally manages the College which keeps her busy for many of her waking hours! Her specialist area is attachment and she also works with young people who have had a difficult start in life. She enjoys music, entertaining and is most happy with a house or garden full of people.
