Wellness Planning

Based on Mary Ellen Copeland's principles of WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Planning), we have designed our own wellness planning handbook to help you monitor your wellbeing and mental health.  Over the three sessions we will explore and develop our own daily maintenance plan, identify wellness tools, recognise when we are struggling and develop strategies to manage our difficulties.

Discovering Good Mental Health

Much of the conversation about mental health focuses on mental ill health, but there's more to mental wellbeing than simply being without mental illness.  Within this course we will be seeking to discover what it means to be in good mental health, and what we can do to foster our own mental wellbeing.  We will reflect on the areas in our lives which help and hinder our wellness and identify ways in which we can flourish, feel good and work towards a balanced life.

Coping With Anxiety

Within these sessions we will explore common causes of anxiety and discover some simple techniques to help relieve the symptoms of anxiety.  Learners will be able to share their ideas and identify ways in which to manage their anxiety in a safe and supportive environment.  We will also identify some useful tools and actions for you to take away and try out.

Managing Depression

A helpful course that looks at the symptoms of depression, the vicious cycle and the Achieve Connect Enjoy (ACE) recovery model. It is suitable for everyone who has suffered with depression, is depressed, or wants to learn strategies for relieving depression.

Telling Your Story

This three session course explores creative ways to reflect on your life and to communicate the story you want to tell, and to connect with and nurture your creative self. Discover new ways to engage with your past and present and to express your feelings.  This workshop is good for people who have already begun their recovery journey and are open to/ready for new challenges.
