Building Resilience

Online Workshop via Zoom Platform

When life gets challenging what do we do to cope and carry on? Within this workshop we discover how we might approach a difficult situation, what behaviours/actions might hold us back and what approaches move us forward.

Thursday 8 January

Life Balance

Online Workshop via Zoom Platform

Our Life Balance workshops uses a recovery-focused tool called B-ACE (Body Care, Achieve, Connect, Enjoy) which can help us create a sense of balance in our lives. Through using this tool we can acknowledge what we do well and identify areas for improvement.

Thursday 15 January

Self-Kindness

Online Workshop via Zoom Platform

We are often very familiar with our critical voice, which damages our self-esteem and confidence. One way to combat this is to become aware of the compassionate and caring sides of ourselves. We explore practising self-kindness as a tool to help reduce unhelpful thoughts we have about ourselves, allowing our compassionate voice to be heard.

Thursday 22 January

Confidence Building

Online Workshop via Zoom Platform

Would you like to change the ‘I can’t’ to ‘I can’? This workshop aims to explore our beliefs about confidence by helping us to recognise our comfort and learning zones. We identify strategies and develop a plan to move towards greater self-confidence.

Thursday 29 January

Wellness Planning (3 Week Course)

Within this course we will be uncovering what it means to be in good mental health and reflect on our perceptions of happiness. Based on the principles of WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) we explore different areas in our lives, recognise what promotes wellness and what may hinder our wellbeing.

Thursdays 5, 12 & 19 February

Building Resilience

When life gets challenging what do we do to cope and carry on? Within this workshop we discover how we might approach a difficult situation, what behaviours/actions might hold us back and what approaches move us forward.

Thursday 26 February

Healthy Relationships (4 Week Course)

In this four-week course we discover the different features of healthy versus unhealthy relationships of all kinds (friendships, family, colleagues and so on). We will reflect on how our past might influence our relationships and look ahead at how we can make choices to nurture positive relationships. There is a focus on self-connection and self-worth as a starting place for understanding boundaries and getting curious about our needs to support overall wellbeing.

Thursdays 5, 12, 19 & 26 March

News, resources and things to know

One of our learners, Ruth, has written a very helpful resource, writing for wellbeing. It contains simple writing exercises that may help you process your thoughts and feelings.

Our learners are also welcome to join our community Facebook group.

Some learners attended our creative writing course, Poem Brut. We are exhibiting their art, Poetry Without Words, online. You can also read blogs from our learners and tutors.
