Mental health support services in Wiltshire
Alabaré offers a range of community mental health support services for people aged 16+ who live in Wiltshire or who are registered with a Wiltshire GP.

Access Community Mental Health Team
Our Access Community Mental Health team supports people with moderate to severe mental health needs including those with additional psycho-social complexity. This service is for people who are not currently using AWP services or Talking Therapies.
Working alongside you, our experienced team will help you:
- Identify your goals and help you take steps to achieve them
- Access local mental health services, such as wellbeing groups or counselling
- Access resources available to you in your local community
- Develop coping techniques to boost your resilience
- Plan your next steps, focusing on building your independence and long-term wellbeing
This service is available to anyone aged 16+ living in Wiltshire or who is registered with a Wiltshire GP.

BSW Recovery College
We offer FREE wellbeing courses and workshops for anyone aged over 18 living in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.
Our courses help people look after their mental health, develop new skills and connect with others. They are designed with people with their own experiences of mental health difficulties. The College is also open to carers, friends and family.
Courses and workshops are delivered both in-person in community settings across BSW, and online. Topics include managing anxiety, better sleep, mindfulness and building resilience.

Riverside Sanctuary
Riverside Sanctuary is a free drop-in service for anyone aged 16+ living in Wiltshire who is struggling with their mental health to find support.
The sanctuary is a place of calm where you can find non-judgmental, confidential support for your mental wellbeing.
We also run weekly group activities, including cooking, crafting and gaming sessions.
If you are a friend, relative or support worker, you are welcome to come along to support someone who is struggling.

Intensive Outreach Service
The Intensive Outreach Service provides personalised support to help people transition from in-patient mental health care back into the community and provides intensive support to people in their own homes.
We take a person-centred, trauma-informed approach, including a step up and step down service.
This service is open to referrals via Avon and Wiltshire NHS Mental Health Partnership Trust (AWP). To make a referral or have a discussion, please contact us on the details below.

Hope House
Hope House in Chippenham is a short-term residential service providing a safe environment for people who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
As a 'peer respite' house, we provide a compassionate space where our guests can work through their challenges with stability and support, as well as forge connections and take part in a variety of activities.
Our expert team specialise in supporting people experiencing feelings of depression, low mood and suicidal thoughts. Staff are present 24 hours a day and are highly trained to support guests in emotional distress.
We work alongside NHS teams to support our guests with their clinical treatment plans, encouraging them to discover renewed hope and courage for the future.
Professional referrals
Referrals to Hope House are managed by the local Mental Health Intensive Support Team. The referrals process is a collaborative process which fully involves the person being referred. For more information, please contact us using the details below.
Physical Health Check Coordination for people with SMI
SMI Physical Health Checks are available to people in Wiltshire on the Serious Mental Illness Register. Our team helps people access physical health checks and health improvement plans, any follow up appointments, and to develop their personal health improvement plans.
