Strike action suspended as dispute nears resolution

Strike action has now been suspended following a vote on 12 March by UNISON members on our latest offer. This marks a significant step forward in our ongoing discussions with the union.  

We have resolved the 2025/26 pay award element of the dispute. Discussions continue to agree the detail around a proposed union Recognition Agreement, which will be presented to all staff in a ballot.    

We’re delighted to welcome our colleagues back to work. Delivering vital services to some of the most marginalised people in our communities is what drives us all, and we look forward to continuing that work together.
