Live Sessions

Welcome to our range of welbeing workshops available for anyone who is accessing or has been discharged from any of the Bristol Mental Health Services.  Our workshops are also available to anyone who cares for a Bristol Mental Health service user.

Our live, interactive sessions are delivered via the free video conferencing application, Zoom which you can download to your device here: https://zoom.us/download.

To get the most out of the live sessions we recommend that you take a look at the related pre-recorded YouTube session on our online resources page.

The workshops will generally be discussion-based, providing the opportunity for us to connect with one another and share our ideas or work we’ve accomplished in relation to the video sessions.  Topics, dates and times can be found below.

For more information on eligibility or for technical advice on how to access Zoom before sessions call us on 0117 914 5498 or email bristol.wellbeing.college@second-step.co.uk

Be Present Sessions

Our ‘Be Present’ series comprises of eight mini sessions that explore the different ways we can achieve a focused awareness. The sessions incorporate elements of mindfulness and meditation practice that bring us back to the present moment. These help to focus our attention, improve our self-awareness and let go of unnecessary anxieties, thought processes and distractions that keep us from living in the now. Sessions are stand-alone so you can sign up to as many or as few as you like.

Writing for Wellbeing

In our Writing for Wellbeing sessions, we get in touch with our creative side to explore our world through written word. During a time when we may feel stuck or isolated, writing provides a platform to connect with others and discover a form of freedom through expression. Within this series, we explore and connect with three elements of our being: the senses, the memory and the emotions. We round off the series with a session dedicated to writing stories on a chosen theme.
