Hillside Street
What is Hillside St?
Located in Totterdown, Bristol; Hillside St is a supported housing scheme for single homeless people with mental health needs. Tenants receive support on a one-to-one basis to help them move towards independent living.

The property is maintained to the highest possible standard with comprehensive weekly health and safety checks.
What support will I receive?
The aim of Hillside St is to act as a stepping stone to independent living. People will live at the project for 6 - 12 months and staff from Second Step and Bristol City Council will provide help and support in finding suitable long-term accommodation.
In addition to this, a dedicated support worker will help you and together you will create an individual Recovery Plan based on your individual needs and interests, including goals such as employment, legal support and supporting you to find a home of your choice.
Hillside St puts an emphasis on maximising income and meaningful occupation and we offer to get everyone who enters the service ready for work and employable within the first 6 months.
Do I need a referral?
Yes - we can only accept referrals from Bristol City Council Homelessness Service who will have recognised you as homeless and in priority need.
